It was a surprising sight to the devotees of a temple when they found a posse of men in khaki armed with brooms sweeping the temple on Saturday in Bhayander. Similar scenes were witnessed in the area's gurudwaras, church and mosques in the twin cities of Mira and Bhayander.
Leading the initiative was Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Thane Rural Atul Kulkarni and Sr PI Ram Bhalsinh of Bhayander police station.
