Mumbai :A group of 7 builders have been booked by  the Arnala Coastal police for allegedly selling one flat to many buyers.One of the victim is noted playback singer Anuradha Paudwal who has also complained to the police. 

 The accused are Raju Sulere, Avinash Dhole and five other partners who own the firm, Om Mandar Realtors,in Bolinj, Virar. The builders had promised cheap flats near the scenic Arnala beach and many investors fell for the bait,including Paudwal, said Jayant Bajbale, DySP, Virar. The accused ran a posh office in the basement of Charbhuj Apartments, in Bolinj, and the victims fell for the glib talk by the accused,said the official. The accused cheated the investors who booked flats in Mandar Avenue F 1 group of buildings in Narangi, Virar. They promised posh amenities, like swimming pool, gymnasium,joggers park and other facilities,  and also offered commercial galas,said Bajbale. In reality, the accused made forged sales agreements and sold the same flat to many buyers of lakhs,said the official and even after forging the documents, they did not give possession of the flats to the vicims, and continued to cheat other gullible victims.

 One of the victim,  Anuradha Paudwal speaking from Bhopal, where she is attending a programme said, I had booked two flats in 2013 as an investment and since then the builders cheated me of my hard earned money and hence complained to the Arnala police and am cooperating with the agency. Another victim, Femida Naseem Ahmed too fell for the trap and she also was cheated of lakhs and other victims have complained to us, said Bajbale.

 We have registered cases under Section 420 (cheating) of IPC and also Section 3,4 of the Maharashtra Protection of Interests of Depositors Act,1999 against the accused who are absconding and we appeal to people to come forward to complain against the accused,said Bajbale.
