Shefali Jariwala to enter as a wild card contestant

MUMBAI : Kanta Laga fame Shefali Jariwala is set to enter Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss 13 as a wild card contestant. She will be among the six new housemates, who will join the show after the mini-finale on November 2.

Shared a source with indianexpress.com, “Shefali has been approached for the reality show earlier also but things could never materialize. She is excited to be joining the show and promised to add the much-required entertainment factor. She will be seen in tonight’s episode interacting with Bigg Boss but will only enter the main house after the finale.”

Colors TV also shared a clip featuring Shefali on their Twitter handle.

Apart from Shefali Jariwala, columnist and political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla, Bhojpuri actor Khesari Lal Yadav and YouTuber Hindustani Bhau have been confirmed as the wild cards. Reportedly, Koena Mitra will also make a comeback after getting evicted in the second week. There’s also loud buzz in the industry that Rashami Desai’s rumoured boyfriend Arhaan Khan and Shahnaaz Gill’s arch-nemesis Himanshi Khurana might also join the force.

Coming to Jariwala, the actor rose to fame after appearing in the music video “Kanta Laga”. The video might have been surrounded by controversies but it gave Jariwala a lot of popularity back in the day. After appearing in many other music videos, Jariwala appeared in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi as Bijili alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. She has also been a contestant of Nach Baliye 5 with husband Parag Tyagi. Recently Shefali Jariwala was seen in ALTBalaji web series Baby Come Naa opposite Shreyas Talpade.

In the last Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan had introduced the other three new contestants. Mumbai resident Vikas Fhatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau had made quite an impression with his quirky personality and humour. A fan of Sanjay Dutt, the Youtuber was seen in the garb of Dutt’s on-screen character in Vaastav.

Tehseen Poonawalla is said to be the highest-paid contestant but failed to make his mark on the stage. While he was confident that he would be winning the show, it would be an uphill task for him to entertain and make a connect with the audience. Khesari Lal Yadav might be a superstar in the regional cinema but Bigg Boss 13 would be a different ball game altogether for him.

On Tuesday, as part of the mid-week eviction, Siddharth Dey got eliminated from Bigg Boss 13. The competition is now rife between Sidharth Shukla, Arti Singh, Rashami Desai, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Mahira Sharma, Paras Chhabra, Shehnaaz Gill, Shefali Bagga and Asim Riaz.
